In the game of Wisdom - Gyan Chaupar, today I’ve slid down the snake from Drama and landed on Trust.
In the game of Gyan Chaupar, we encounter snakes and ladders, just like the classic version. But the original game was much more than just a game; it was designed to offer wisdom through the snakes and progression through the ladders.
The word trust comes from the Old Norse traust, meaning help, confidence, protection, and support. Trust has always been about believing in something larger than ourselves, whether that’s the universe, nature, or other people.
The snake’s wisdom teaches us that trust is gained when we open our hearts, and our hearts open when we trust. Love cannot exist without trust.
Trust is about letting go and surrendering to the fact that the universe has a plan for us. By following our intuition and inner wisdom, we align ourselves with that plan. Anything else is a distraction. Just like we trust the sun to rise and set each day, or the Earth to hold our weight, we must trust that everything is unfolding as it should.
Lack of trust in the universe and nature can lead to moral decay of the soul. The opportunities we need to progress are right in front of us each day, but are we recognising them? Are we trusting enough to follow the path laid out for us?
There are no shortcuts in life. Life is like a train on its tracks: if it tries to take a shortcut, it may derail and never reach its destination. The quickest way is to follow the path, to pass through all the necessary stations, learning what we need to learn along the way. Trust the track; it’s leading you exactly where you need to be.
The more we trust the process, the more committed we become to staying on the right path. Trusting that the universe is in cosmic harmony makes the journey easier, bringing us closer to our destination.
Take a moment today to reflect: Are you trusting the universe? Are you staying on the track, or looking for shortcuts?
